Ingredients for Turkey and Yam Pepper Soup
- 1 kg turkey
- Yam peeled and cut into medium cubes
- Pepper mix
- Onions
- Garlic powder
- Pepper soup spice (Yaji)
- Crayfish powder
- Black pepper optional
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt to taste
- Scent leaves or basil leaves, chopped

Preparation
- Peel the yam and cut it into medium-sized cubes.
- Blend the scotch bonnet peppers, onions, and garlic, until smooth. Set aside.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Turkey
- Add the cleaned and cut turkey into a pot.
- Add chopped onions, seasoning cubes, and salt.
- Add curry powder, thyme, and ginger powder then mix well to coat the turkey evenly.
- Cover the pot and allow the turkey to simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add two cups of water and cook for another 20 to 30 minutes until the turkey is tender.

- Add the cubed yam into the pot with the cooked turkey.
